§ 6-141. Procedure generally.

This article and the airport zoning map may be amended from time to time by initiative of board of commissioners on its own motion or by the airport board on its own motion or by any person by filing written application therefor with the director; provided however, no amendment shall become effective unless it shall have been proposed by, or shall have received a recommendation by the airport board. The airport board shall have forty-five (45) days from receipt of the application for amendment from the director at their regular meeting to submit a recommendation to the board of commissioners. If the airport board fails to submit its recommendation within this period or is not granted an extension for further study, it shall be deemed to have approved the proposed amendment. A public hearing on the proposed amendment shall be held in compliance with the provisions of G.S. 63-33.
