§ 6-27. Purpose.

  • The purpose of this article is twofold: to establish procedures and standards for the prevention of the creation or establishment of hazards to air navigation, the elimination, removal, alteration or mitigation of hazard to air navigation, that endangers the lives and property of users of a airport and of occupants of land in its vicinity; to prevent the establishment of obstructions that reduces the size of the area available for the landing, taking off and maneuvering of aircraft, thus tending to destroy or impair the utility of the airport and the public investment therein, and is therefore not in the interest of the public health, public safety or general welfare.
