§ 2-196. Creation; conception.

(a)

The board of county commissioners hereby establish a personnel board to be composed of two (2) commissioners as voting members and the county manager as a nonvoting member. The personnel board shall elect one (1) member to serve as chairperson each year.

(b)

Meetings of the board shall be held monthly or on an as-needed basis. Special meetings of the board may be called by any of the members or the human resources director. The human resources director (or his designee) shall be responsible for preparing and disseminating meeting notices and proposed agendas.

(c)

In the event the two (2) voting members cannot agree, that issue will be presented to the full board of commissioners for review.
